For Inquiry the senior school is learning how to be prepared to survive.

As part of our tuning in we experienced a series of real life experiences after which we were asked to reflect on. Here are a few of our experiences.

Dodge Ball:

1. We were asked to line up and we walked down to the bottom court.

2. Once we reached the court we were asked to play dodge ball.

3. In my opinion this was really pointless because we had no equipment to play dodge ball with.

4. This made me feel that this was a challenge I had to over come by using no equipment to play a game that usually involves equipment.

5. Our dodge ball game was successful.

Art in the nature garden!!!

We were asked to line up silently and walk down to the nature garden. When we got there we were told to draw one of the trees or plants in the garden without pencils or paper. Our group used our bodies and arms to make a palm tree.

The lesson was mostly pointless because we were not prepared and did not know what to do at the start but it also got us thinking and using our initiative.

In conclusion we need to be prepared if we are to do well and complete tasks.

         Maths reflection

Mrs. Bate asked us to make up a Math’s Game using only what we own.

We were put into groups in my group was Ben, Connor, Sophie, Callum and I. We were also told to do either Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication or Division. We got told to do Addition. I came up with an idea of using my marbles we had lots of changes to make like making sure we are always helping people with maths there were lots of brilliant ideas and I really enjoyed getting to make it up this is also an good example of needing to be prepared all the time always having things just in case you don’t know when you might need it.   It was good to learn an important

lesson.
