Library Week Activities
This week is New Zealand-wide Library Week and we've got lots of fun lunchtime activities happening in our Library.
On Monday we had mini-book and bookmark making. This was a HUGE success with loads of children in the Library being creative with pens, crayons, stickers, glue and much more. There were so many beautiful creations!
On Tuesday we have an origami day - we'll be making origami bookmarks and I'll have more mini-books for those who missed out on Monday.
Wednesday is storytime in the Library at lunchtime - hopefully this will be a bit more serene than today's event!
You'll need to get your thinking caps on for Thursday - we'll be playing Library games and there'll be a Library knowledge quiz.
Mr Marshall will be making a guest appearance on Thursday too and participating in these events.
All week long we are running a special Library Week competition - children have to guess the weight of the pile of books in the Library. This closes on Thursday 3pm and the winner will be announced at assembly on Friday.
Enjoy Library Week!
