Room 24 Week 3 Term 3
I hope you have all had a great weekend.
Well done to those of you who are bringing in interesting facts and books about animals for your news. I particularly enjoyed Nicho's poem about the tui. He read it so well! And we chose the poem as our weekly poem as it was really cool!!! Daniel's facts about the elephant were interesting too. He read them all out by himself too.
Thanks very much for coming to our interviews. It was lovely to catch up with you all and set some goals etc for our children and their learning.
This week we are looking at the letter and Jj sound. Continue to collect pictures of this sound and put them into your alphabet books.
I am testing the children on their reading again and it is so lovely to see them moving up levels. Keep up the great work. Reading at home is so important- keep it fun and ask your child lots of quesitons about what they are reading and what they think about the story.
Here's to another great week. I am encouraging the children to come into the class in the morning and put their own things away as they are all so capable of doing this. Then they know where all their own things are. A tick in the heart when they do it independently! The children can explain thisto you!
Regards Tania
