Room 24 Welcome Back to Term 3!!!

Hi there! I hope you all had a great holiday. The weather certainly helped!!!

Well we are going to get straight back into it! Our topic this term is animals and their habitats. So can we please borrow books and pictures. Please name these and put them on our Discovery Table at the back of the room. The children will be having the opportunity to find images on google so practising this at home will be helpful. Thanks.

For oral language this term we will all take turns to share our news. Look below for your child's news day. Please let me know if this needs changing. I am encouraging everyone to have something organised to talk about. This first week bringing in a picture or a book about animals and telling us a fact about it would be great.

Our art topic is painting so please can you collect egg cartons and bring them in, they are excellent paint trays.

I will put up a new helpers roster. Please let me know if you wish to continue with the same time that you had last term or if you wish to come and help this term. The help we get in Room 24 is fanatstic. It is very much appreciated.

We will continue to have a letter of the week so children need to continue finding pictures of the week's sound at home and bring them to school and glue them into their alphabet book. The sound doesn't have to be at the start of the word.

We are focussing on skipping for fitness this term so it would be great to see our class bringing ropes to school to practise with. Please have these named. We will have a place to keep them in our room.
