Room 25 Explanations

Room 25 have been learning how to write an explanation. An explanation is different to a recount. It starts with a brief description, then has a series of explanatory statements, then ends with a general comment about the topic.
Below are our explanations about the life cycle of a seed.

A seed is a very important part to a plant because all plants need a seed to start their life.
This is how it starts its life. It starts out as a seed then it grows into a seedling. But it needs a shoot to go up and the roots to go down and the more leaves it grows the bigger the plant will grow. It might grow flowers and if it does it will spread seed that were in the flower.
Plants need us and we need them.

The life cycle of a seed is how plants grow.
First it’s a seed. Next it changes into a seedling then it changes into a flower. After that it changes into a seedpod then the seed falls out of the seedpod. And can either get taken by a bird or by an animal or it will fall in a river.
We need plants and they need us.

This is how a seed grows into a plant. First the seed grows into a seedling. Then they grow into a tree and the flowers bloom. The seed pods let all the seeds drop. The seeds get carried away by animals, birds, wind and water. Plants need us and we need them.

The life cycle of seeds is how plants grow. A plant is from a seed which grows into a seedling. A seedling then grows into a plant. A plant will turn into a flower which makes a seedpod. A flower will have pollen in it and a bee will come suck it. Next an animal will come spread it around and drop it into a different place. Then it will keep repeating. If plants didn’t have us they would die and if we didn’t have plants we would die.
