Library
Having started out in a tiny space not much bigger than a cupboard, our school Library is now looking a lot more “grown up” with colourful displays, new sections and signage and exciting additions to the collection.
Please feel free to come in and have a look.
Library Skills teaching has been put on hold while our Librarian, Jayne Carroll, works on setting up the new Resource Room.
Opening Hours
The Library is open every lunch time until 1.30pm during term time.
It is closed during morning tea.
Library books can be returned any time the Library is open. Please place books in the Returns slot in the Library front desk – not on the shelves.

Borrowing
Children may borrow books for one week. If necessary, books can be renewed by bringing them back to the Library. Juniors may borrow one book at a time; middle school two books and senior school three books.
Overdue or Lost Books
Please ensure children return (or renew) their Library books each week. The longer they remain overdue, the more likely they are to go missing. We do ask parents to pay for the cost of damaged or lost books. Children with overdues cannot borrow more books, so if there is a problem or you think the book has been returned, please contact Jayne as soon as possible to sort it out : jaynec@greenhithe.school.nz .
