Principal’s News

Dear parents and caregivers,

As we come back to the start of term three I am looking forward to continuing to see the focus on our school values. These values are so important to the way we want our children to be. When I think about the children we will send off to intermediate school or to Albany Junior High School at the end of the year, the thing I am always proudest of is the way our children show our values and how they take them to their new schools. We often hear of the initiative shown by our students at their new school, the excellence they are able to produce in their learning and the respect they show to peers and staff. Therefore in order to have children who are  ready to leave at the end of year 6 we have to ensure these key values are taught, modelled and encouraged throughout their time at Greenhithe School. I look forward to seeing the values of  Perseverance, Respect, Initiative, Diligence and Excellence being shown across the school throughout the term. I also look forward to passing out some of our special certificates to those who are observed using their PRIDE values Mia Lynch, Kingsley Zhao and Ron Yao.

2023 and 2024 Enrolments

If you have a child who will be joining our school in either 2023 or 2024 can you please contact the office to begin the enrolment process. This is vital to ensure we can secure the best teachers for our school. With the well publicised teacher shortages it is important we know our numbers to help us secure the best available teachers for your children. If you know of any families through daycare or kindy that also may have children joining us in 2023 or 2024, can you please ask them to come and see us.

School Protocols

Thank you for supporting our health and safety protocols for adults on site. These are important so we know who is at school and to ensure the safety of your children.  Please do not go to the classrooms to pick up a child to go home early.

Please remember:

  • To drop any items to the office like a lunch box.
  • To call into the office if you are picking your child up for an appointment or to leave early. The office staff will then send for the child to meet you up at the office, this ensures we know who is on site at any time.

School Donations and Activity Contributions

These donations and contributions allow us to be able to run special days at school and have amazing trips for your children! Thank you for supporting us to give your child the best opportunities we can. These contributions are essential to enable school trips to go ahead.

School Donation – $55 per term or $220 for the whole school year. The amount for 3rd or

subsequent children will remain at $37.50 per term or $150 for the whole school year.

Classroom Activity Contributions – $40 per term or $160 for the whole school year.

Kindo is our preferred method for all your school payments. We also have links for you to follow on our school website in the Community Connect section or in the drop down on the Info tab.
